How many pollen filters in the W140?
Hello everyone,
Can someone please tell me how many pollen filters are in a W140 WITHOUT the activated charcoal feature? Thanks! Bryan |

There's a filter above the blower motor (engine bay inboard of right hood hinge, and a filter in the cabin in the lower dash cover in the passenger footwell.

I kow how to replace the one above the blower motor, but I don't know how to erplace the other in the passenger footwell . . . do you have to remove the glovebox or anything like that? regards, Bryan |

There's a flap along the bottom of the dash in the passenger footwell.
1 Turn latches on recirculating air filter housing in passenger foot well 90° counterclockwise (open). To close during Installation, turn 90° clockwise. 2 Remove cover with recirculating air filter towards bottom. 3 Open recirculating air housing. 4 Remove recirculating air filter. 5 Installation is in the reverse sequence. Awesome! Thanks Sixto!
I thought that changing this filter was done inside the engine bay . . . it sounds super easy to change! I would have taken a look at it myself, but the car is at my parents' house two hours away. I am going home tonight to change there filters, and wanted to know how before I went there. Thanks once again! Bryan |

There's a filter over the blower for outside air and a filter in the cabin for recirculated air. The activated charcoal filter is something else entirely.

Yeah . . . I think you are referring to the pollen filter. I have purchased one of those as well, and am going to replace it tonight.
