wrong rivetting: how to correct?

I was visited glass shop today.

The glass tech at the shop found the trim on right C pillar is loose. We found that a metal clip and a plastic clip was broken.

The tech courteously told me that he would fix it for free.
He rivetted the metal clip.

He could not do anything about the broken plastic clip.

I went to dealer to order the broken plastic clip.
I saw the diagram there, and found that the glass shop tech put the clip wrong way.

What is good solution for the wrong rivetting?
