Seen an interesting 450SEL- info requested
Today in the parking lot at work, I seen a older model 450SEL 4dr. It had the same body style as the 78-80 300SD, but it was longer of course. I am puzzled, because it had the small Euro bumpers and cloth interior- just like the Euro models, but it looked like a typical USA 1973-79 450SEL 4dr (other than bumpers and cloth interior). So there were also Euro 450SEL models? I was thinking that they would have a different model name than a USA model?

Your a little confused on how MB does models. Except for early turbo diesel models that were made for the US the norm was for MB to chose a small portion of all modles made to make US modles of. That means that if you see a US model (except turbodiesels) there is a comparable euro model. The same can not be said in reverse. MB only brought in the expensive versions of each chassis they brought in.
It also could have been a 73 450SEL as they had short bumpers then on US models.
