my w123's a/c clutch engages erratically.
but what is consistent is that after warming up, at idle, it'll refuse to catch and i'll have to put up with warm air until i accelerate away. belt tension is ok, but the belt sometimes screeches still, esp when after a warm start. do all this point towards replacing the clutch? thanks. |

Is it a early 123 with the York A/C?? I thought it was the clutch on my 115, but the problem was cause by the rubber mounting washers. There are 8 on the sides, and 4 on the bottom.

what about the washers? they were causing the belt tension to vary?
