1982 240D W123

I love to drive this car. I don't understand people who say they are slow. I have no problem keeping up wherever I want to go. Shifts at the "dots" if you keep your foot in it. I bought this car in North Carolina and drove it more than 500 miles home, sight unseen. Counting every penny I've put into it, including the purchase price, I'm up to about $4,500. Mileage is 155K+, the ODO is sporadic. Exterior is Barolorot, with Palomino int. I have replaced the map pockets, int. door handles, kick plates and pillar covers with black, for a cool black & tan look. Exterior is a 6 or 7 (oxidized), interior is a 9. Added a BlauP CD head, speakers are original. All options work except cruise.

The two mountain pictures are from last summer. The car is living in Monterrey, Mexico now, and for the next few years. I am working there and using it as my "Mexico" car. I have only seen one other MB diesel here in the last year, an '84 190D.

Update: Summer 2007. What a car! Only repair this year was for some leaking fuel lines and a new tank strainer. Next up on PM is oil cooler lines.
