Gearbox parts
Hi everyone,
this is my first post to the forum so please go easy on me My dad used to own a 319D bus which he sold about 10 years ago. On a recent cleanup, he found a whole pile of brand new original M-B gearbox parts (including a layshaft, syncro cone(s) and gear pinions) for the 4sp manual transmission fitted. I've got the part numbers at home and believe that it's the same box as fitted to the 180D. He wants to sell the parts but he doesn't know what they're worth and doesn't want to be (excessively!) ripped off. He found the original receipt and the whole bundle of stuff cost him ~AU$1600 (not sure of the date- I think around the 1970's). If I post up the exact details, would anyone know what a sensible price would be? The current owner of the bus may be interested but I'm sure he'll be open to other offers |
