6.9 versus S65 AMG

That is pretty cool. I wonder if the suspension was all brand new on the 6.9. It's kinda strang that the S65 can only pull a 0-60 in 5.9 seconds? My old WRX could have done much better than that.
Anyone watch the McLaren video? "The owner's fine words as we fired up Gordan Murray's creation: "May I remind you that the chassis stinks, it has no downforce, and the brakes don't work. But it's got a good engine!" .....those are the words of a real princess |

Wow, that first gear on the 6.9 goes to like 62 mph. Stupid 3 speeds!

The Lamborghini Diablo is like that too. When I drove one i couldn't put it into 3rd at anything below 50mph because the gearing is so widely spaced.

The S65 will go upwards of 155, more like 170 or so. The S65 is also geared much differently and then there is the turbo lag.

I figured the S65 would be somwhere in the mid 4 second range with all that power on tap.....isnt the torque in the 6-700lbft range? I wonder if that is a standing start with 5 people and luggage going uphill.
