The $17,000 w114 sedan

Never thought I'd ever see one - must be worth every dollar. How could you go wrong? Immortal glassy-eyed...

Now there is some effective marketing.

The seller has no feedback?

The car is in Louisiana?

The pictures are the size of my thumbnail?

STARTING bid of over $17K?

Someone should email the seller and suggest that he send his ebay fee to you. That would be about as productive a use of the listing fee as his ad on Ebay.

I suppose not everyone is cursed with the virtue of common sense.

This guy needs to read my book on how to sell stuff on eBay. He's going about it exactly 180 degrees backwards.

Hmmm, let me think about this one a bit.
On my $150.00 '73 280:

10 hours of cleaning, 6 hours of chasing spiders out of the crevices, 1 day to drain, drop, clean and re-install the gas tank, 2 days replacing the dry rotted fiddly bits on the engine, 3 weeks of cursing the Solex 4A1, 1 day to adapt another carb, 3 days of replacing all the upholstery stuffing, 3 days of washing, buffing and waxing, 2 days of trying every adjustment known to man to eliminate the 2-3 transmission "flare", 3 hours to replace all the rubber fuel lines (ya know, when I had the tank out would have been a good time to do that but NOOOO, I gotta wait until the tank is full!), 4 hours to get the suspension loosened up and lubed so it drives like a Benz, couple of days doing misc. suspension work.

Somedays that $17000 dont sound all that bad!

Surprising. Four doors, GREAT photo documentation, incredibly detailed history provided - I'm surprised no one has bid on it yet.

Really, some sellers on ebay are just clueless. Then again, so are some buyers.
