1959 cross country 190D

In the June 1959 Motor Trend magazine, there's an article by Bill Carroll describing the coast to coast drive of the "new" 190D. The route isn't completely given.

A few years ago, the drive was repeated: "Old Tech to BlueTec". In the blog that describes that repeat, the authors say "the route of the original drive isn't completely known."

Does anyone know if the original (not the recent) drive went through Texas? Or does anyone know of someone who might know?

Thanks.
Tom
