73 280 front brake question

Don't I remember there being two possible types of caliper on the front?
Seems like I replaced one and it was different than the existing other side, I remember two types of brake pads more tan anything else. Are the two types interchangeable? ATE and. ?

They are interchangeable but you need to match them when on the same axle. Such as you don't want a ATE on the left and a Bendix on the right.

LOL. Sometimes under hard braking it could pull one way or another.

Like mine has done for the last year? LOL

Actually both sides had new pads and it was alright, nearing needing pad time and it was starting to be noticeable under hard braking. I saw a pair of calipers for sale and just couldn't remember if they were both usable.
