wiper motor interchange from 116 to 107

My intermittent function no longer works on my 74 450SL.Another forum member gave me detailed instructions on testing switch and motor.Problem is motor.There is what appears to be in the photos a capacitor or some other electronic part that is likely the cause.
I have not been able to locate any 107 cars anywhere near me.I have found quite a few 116 450 SE or SEL models.
Is the 116 motor the same? and where is it??.It is easy to get to on the 107,I'm guessing I will need to remove the cowl between hood and windshield on a sedan to access it.
