1975 300D into a 240D
I have a 1975 240D with a blown engine. I've found a 1975 300D donor car and was just making sure that the 300 will fit into the 240 and that it will match up with the 240 transmission. One interesting thing about the donor 300 is the primer pump. It is located right next to the secondary fuel filter and is mushroom shaped. Never seen anything like that.

I did this about fifteen years ago. I had a nice 74 240 with a blown motor and bought a scruffy but mechanically sound 76 300d and had the stuff switched over. It was a total success.
Start with two cars though there are lots of differences.

The tube deal is a little weird but the air cleaner itself is the depth charge canister from the 300NA donor car.
