Looking for w108 Fuel System Flow Valve
Hi guys,
I'm looking for the fuel system flow valve for my 1972 280SE 4.5. Oddly enough, EPC doesn't list the part. Or, at least I can't find it. Yet, I know the part belongs on the car because its on my car and my mechanic's (he's has a 72 w108 also). Digging around EPC we were able to find a part number: A107-470-0693. But that didn't yield any results on Fleabay and just a few odd results on Google. Here's a pic of the part I'm looking for. It's the black piece that looks like two inverted speakers. I'm going to reach out to the CC on Monday. In the meantime, any assistance is greatly appreciated! Best, Jose

Bd:
The unit in question is the fuel tank vent valve. It is part of the vapor recovery system. |

Thanks Frank!
Do you know how to find it on EPC? I can't find it anywhere in the W108

This dealer site shows the valve and a drawing showing where it fits. As Frank said, it is part of the fuel tank vent system.
Mercedes CLOSED FUEL-EVAPORATION-CONTROL SYSTEM If you have epc, you can use the part search feature in upper menu bar. Enter the part number with no vehicle data and it will tell you which cars the part is used on. It will also open the epc page where it is listed. Then you will know where MB put it! It could be under the emission section.

Thank Graham -- That worked.
It's odd. EPC definitely doesn't list the part for W108s. Yet, it's on them. Ok, I'm gonna contact MBCC and see what they say. Thanks! Jose

I heard back from MBCC. The part is no longer available--hasn't been for over 5 years.
Do you guys have any suggestions? Use another MB vent valve? j.
