mid 60's 280SE -- 4.5 euro

don't know much about them, but I saw one sequestered / stashed.
the ass end looks like a w115 and the front end is the cool "Notched back" euro headlights with the amber hella accessory driving lights just inside,

its a dark smokestone color, like the mineral Catlenite- like what Native americans made pipes out of.
the lower read quarters are rusted and would have to use the available w115 patch panels to fix it.

whats the value of this model benz?
I know the 4.5 is nothing anyone ever raved about.

The m117 4.5 didn't make its debut until the 1971 model year in the US. The 3.5 was, I believe, 1969. Did you just see a standard 108 280SE 4.5, or did you see something special someone made custom?

thanks for posting that tom, all I know is the headlight lenses are definitely euro, and it said 4.5 on the trunk lid. so probably someone wanted that cool / clean headlight look like lots do with the w123's switching them out.

there was another of these cars parked next to it and had the regular headlights--with the little "jewels" on either side of the high /low beam stacks, the second car was light blue and missing the drivetrain and hood.
