76 mercedes 280c fuel pump replacement

in this 76 mercedes 280c. i notice theres a pedestal assemby in stalled to mechanical fuel pump. does this whole assembly need to be remove as one? or can i just unbolt the two13 mm bolts from fuel pump itself? not sure if theres a procude to aling the lever in fuel pump to some shaft going to oil pump cam lobe?

Yes.

The adapter/extension/pedestal remains on the block.
