4.5 into a 220S is not necessary. I drove a friends 220SE with a 280SE motor and a 4.5 rear end. That thing really hauled ***. Plus, with a 64 or later, you don't need to move the booster. With the 4.5 rear end, you get disc brakes and 14 inch wheels. That is the way to go if you're looking for a fintail that is really fun to drive.

the 3 rotor i had in my rx7 would make a nice swap methinks. its got more hp and tq stock than the 108-109 v8's do (300hp/300lbsft). would be a little weird when you open the hood though
