67 250SE Injector Pump

Anyone know where I can find a rebuild kit for a 67 250SE coupe fuel injection pump? Also, is it possible to switch the injection pump from the sedan to the coupe (they appear to be different)? Any information appreciated.

Injection pumps are not user servicable, except for the coolant sensor and air bypass filter. There are several companies around that rebuild them though.

What makes you think yours needs rebuilding?

Switching may be possible within years, check the Bosch type code, starting with 'R'. Later 280SE FI pumps are not due to larger engine displacement and additional emission related solenoids.

The interchange depends on the oil system of the pumps. The early pumps
[ yours] have an oil reservoir and dip-stick. The later [ after R18] have engine crankcase oil feed.
You can tell at a glance as the early have an oil cap on top, along with a dip stick on the rear of the pump.

If you mean the fuel pump in back by the tank, it can be rebuilt if OEM. Check with sponsor Fastlane on kit.

Look at this post for info on an injection pump rebuilder.

230SL MFI

Try here as well. You may want to post a question about IP rebuilders.
