Power window switch question

Hey guys,

1973 Mercedes 280sel we're dealing with here. Basically, I saw a spark on one of the switch spots when I touched my key to it. Now, the 2 windows that did work refuse to go up or down. Is there a specific fuse I need to change? Thank you very much.

Sam

Yes, probably a fuse. Don't know the wiring diagram of your car, but if you signal/indicator is not working either, it is a fuse and the same fuse that blew in my car this week. Also check for loose or corroded contacts between the switch and its connector. My left rear window stops once in a while and it is due to the connector vibrating loose from the switch over time.

Good luck.

Bert

ok ok

Got it! update: Replaced the fuses under the hood, now they all at least have power. The passenger side front door switch is missing the two prongs that tilt underneath the switch. Is there anyone here who has a parts car or something of the sort to help me out??? Or is there a company that reproduced these? I would think it'd be in demand because the prongs could easily be lost. I'm so close to having all 4 windows working as they should. Thank you very much.
