Cam oiler tubes
While putting the M117 back together on my '73 450SEL I noticed that the new plastic bits for the oiler tubes fit more loosely than the originals; this concerned me so much that I just put the old (tighter) ones back. Did Mercedes supercede an early smaller cam oiler tube with a later bigger one on the M117?

Will the newer tubes work on the earlier engine?
