Hello All
I am confused after reading posts here, I need to know where the number 1 cylinder is. Is it on the drivers side, closest to the radiator, or passenger side closest to the radiator. Please advise.

Thanks
BB

US or UK?

driver's side moves depending on the car (RHD or LHD).

On a mercedes v8, the #1 cylinder is on the side that doesn't have the distributor (presuming it has a distributor).

If you have a LHD (that's left-hand-drive) car that puts it on the passenger side.

It is a US car. According to all I have read the #1 is on the drivers side closest to the radiator. The 2 little marks on the distributor point to the 1 oclock (right side, drivers side) Is this correct?

No, As you face the car having just opened the hood it's on the left in front.
