Hello All
I am confused after reading posts here, I need to know where the number 1 cylinder is. Is it on the drivers side, closest to the radiator, or passenger side closest to the radiator. Please advise. Thanks BB |

US or UK?
driver's side moves depending on the car (RHD or LHD).
On a mercedes v8, the #1 cylinder is on the side that doesn't have the distributor (presuming it has a distributor). If you have a LHD (that's left-hand-drive) car that puts it on the passenger side. -CTH |

It is a US car. According to all I have read the #1 is on the drivers side closest to the radiator. The 2 little marks on the distributor point to the 1 oclock (right side, drivers side) Is this correct?

No, As you face the car having just opened the hood it's on the left in front.
