bumpers. . .Im working on the headlamps, only because it opens me up to conversion options, HID maybe? but I like the classic look of the Federal headlamps. . If I ran across a set cheap I'd snag them. .

the bumpers just need to be finished, they are sitting in the garrage practically stripped down. .I just gotta do a little R/R on them. .

yeah my sig pic SUCKS!! I need to get some better pics of it.

Yeah you'll probably be able break the rear wheels loose now. I bet your 10MPG will go up a bit. Before I come down to the GTG im going to pull the VC and check the timing chain, it should be okay since it was replace at 60K, it has 212K now. I checked the timing and its stil at TDC so I guess the chain doesn't have much stretch in it.

Cam Oiler; Camshaft Oiler Kit; 10mm
Cylinder Head Gasket Set; Left

I could break the rears free before, esp in rain. I wonder how my 1/4 mile time will change, not that this is by any means a race car. and my fuel economy, we'll see... Im thinking about installing an intake vac gauge (in the glovebox next to the radio). . .we'll see...

Really? I could smoke the tires for a few seconds on my old 73 280SEL. Especially when the points were set correctly.

I could also smoke the tires on my old 71 250CE which was quite a fast car.. I took it up to 115mph on the M4 once.

turning wrenches. . .

On a real note, I was going to update the thread, but my (now ex. .whole 'nother topic) broke the screen on my camera this morning I havent had a chance to take any pictures.

So excuse the lack of pictures today, ill take some tomorrow or the next day.

As we stand right now -Both heads and cams are on bolted into place. I have half the exhaust bolts in place. I still need to torque them down correctly, I think Im just gonna use my "I feel its tight enough" instinct and go by it. It always seems like disaster is eminent (rounding off bolts or tightening them too much) with the click type torque wrench.

I still need to clean my injectors, install my waterpump, alternator, p/s pump as well as the intake manifold and the fuel injection system.

All the vac related mess needs to be addressed as well. Im going to re-do all the vac lines with new platic and rubber as most of mine is dry rotted.

Also install my new rotor, plugs and pick up a set of wires and a cap (further inspection yielded poor conductivity).

The goal is to have her operational and under her own power by monday night, I think it is realistic.

Don't worry about the pictures, we all understand the circumstances.

Looks like you have made alot of progress being so busy and all. Good luck and I look forward to seeing it at the GTG.

If I were you i'd pull the cluster and fix your odo. Though I don't think it would read correct since your speedo is 5 high, I remember you saying awhile back. Or maybe your GPS is 5 high.
