1972 250C Instrument Cluster. Clock works.
I was at pull-a-part yesterday and grabbed this cluster. I don't need it (I've got a 300CD and 300SD), but I didn't want the rats to get it.
I spent a few hours on the clock (retired watchmaker), and it runs quite well. It is within a minute in a couple hour test period.
Very clean overall...chrome needs some work. The rubber seal is very pliable. The needles on the gauges all move, and all the lights work except one bulb is burned out. The fuel gauge jumps when a penlight cell is connected to it.
'Bout all I know about it. I have no way to test it further, nor am I an expert.
Thought I'd let you vintage guys know about it first.
