Yet another '73 280 (pics)!

I told wolf i would post these, my new baby.

It's got what I thought was a cranky carb.. But, i had the belts changed today and my new mechanic tells me there is a problem with cylinder 1. He says we should look into it before winter comes!

I wish I knew how to work on cars...

Other than that I love it. No rust, original everything

Beautiful car in my favorite color!

I wish mine had the pre-74 small bumpers!

Beautiful!

Make sure your wrench adjusts the valves (correctly), if they are off enough they could skew a cylinders performance, or compression test reading. I'm assuming he's going by the latter to say it's having a problem.

Hell that's beautiful. Same color as my first Benz. And one of my favourite Mercedes colors of all time.

Hi

You have an (almost) twin over here in Bahrain (Gulf Region). Could you post a good pic of the dashboard as mine has a small split and I am not sure whether it is intentional or not.

If it is the straight older single cam six the first lobe on the camshaft goes south on ocasion. You might be able to examine it through the oil filler hole. Too long ago for me to remember if you can.

I will take some pics of the dash for you, I keep forgetting.

Actually I've got the hots for your car

I love the euro lamps without the fog lamps.

I might like to remove my fog-lamps for Slightly sleeker look.
