Any info on this W114 Coupe split rear bumper?

Looks like a factory piece. Found this pic on the mbca forum from a guy in thailand. Also found this via google search. An italian part to fit plates?

That was a quick and handy response! Is there a part number anywhere on it?

Possibly helpful

I poked around EPC for you, and found the following info (see attachment). I am not familiar with these cars, so my apologies if this is a red herring.

My 1987 300TD wagon was sold and my 2003 W210 E320 wagon was totaled (sheds tear).

Yes, their pre-European Community rear plates were essentially large black squares.

Top row was two letters to designate region and help get your car egged when you traveled to a rival football team's territory, and two numbers. Bottom row was four numbers.

Their front plates were much smaller, about 3"h x 10"w (to use totally non-metric figures in that guess)

Italian spec cars from back then will also have a small orange light monted up high on the front fenders, close to the headlights. Many "imports" sourced the same light so Austin Healys, MBs and Fiats of that era all have the same orange light...

Brilliant! that looks right. Also provides a part # for alabbasi's piece.

Palolo, thanks for the insight!
