Help Needed to ID 2 interior ligts Ponton?
I have two lights in a box that I'm not sure what they came out of. No marking to go by. I parted out a 1960 190 ponton about 8 years ago, and I suspect they may be from that car but I need some help. Thanks!

Hi Andrew,
Not sure about pictures 1 and 2. Picture 3, 4 and 5 are trunk mounted license plate lights.

It is hard to tell from the photos but these look just like the license plate lights from a 108, a 109 or perhaps a 300d from the 50's.
Do a search for these lights on Ebay and I bet you will find a match. The 108 and 109 lights are flat on the mounting side. These look like they have a bit of a curve. I have also seen Alfa Spiders with lights that look like these, but then Alfa was buying parts from a lot of sources during the 60's and 70's so not all Alfa's used the same parts over the long run. |

The light in pictures one and two look like an interior light. I don't recognize them as W108, W111 or W180 W121 Pontons. Are you sure they are Mercedes? There would be a Mercedes part number on them somewhere...
The other lights are certainly exterior lights for the license plate.

The curved mounting in pic 1 and 2 is really odd for an interior part on any car.
My first thought was a light mounted to a tail fin / end of fender. Did you take the lens off? There has to be a number somewhere. |
