Solenoid ignition cable screw
Hi guys,
So my car wasn't turning over all the time and I had a look at the solenoid and noticed the screw connecting the ignition wire was lose. I tried to gently tighten it and it broke off. I'm going to have to replace the solenoid I guess but does anyone know where I can find this screw to replace he one that broke off? Also, can I replace the solenoid without dropping the starter? It looks like just three screws, albeit a tight fit. Last edited by EMD; 05-04-2016 at 11:59 PM. |

Easier to drop the starter. Most of the time those screws are on there TIGHT! It's not unusual to need an impact driver to pop them loose.
Most solenoids come with new screws.

If the new solenoid does not come with new screws any auto parts store or hardware store will have the proper size. Take the new solenoid with you when shopping for a new screw.
