Question Trim Clips

Anybody know where to get trim clips?? They don't seem to be available online.

Nevermind I'm getting them from the dealer. The male part is 70cents and the female part (red button) is 50cents.

I am mildly disconcerted that you are adding chrome when you have a flat cam lobe.

Haha.. I have a long list of things to do some require more effort than others. The point being that the clips are cheap and I want them handy when I need them. Some of the things I wanted to deal with right away either cost more money or I need tools or tips etc. Some things I'm just learning along the way which is fun for me otherwise I would buy a working car and throw it away when it stops working which I think is wasteful.

The one car that I'm trying to get back into great shape needs an overhaul on the head. The existing head is garbage at this point. Everything about it is toasted. My plan is to get a head that's in better shape and get the valve guides renewed and put the thing on myself. Most of the tricky labor happens in the machine shop. I don' t think screwing the head down is worth paying for shop time. So I could either spend thousands of dollars doing the repairs in the shop, buy another car or try to it myself and at least have the knowledge and not be out so much money.

So for now I'm letting the horse ride in the cart with me.

FWIW. Metric Motors, right in LA has a great deal on reconditioning your head. I was going to do it but freight was kind of a killer from VA.
