w123 complete seat vendor recommendations
Hey, everyone --
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good vendor who sells complete w123 seats (I'm looking for my '78 280ce)? I did a search, but haven't found anything conclusive. Thanks much, Greg in Orinda, CA

Thanks for these two suggestions. I'm actually looking for complete seats, not just the covers. The front seats in my '78 280ce were destroyed by a previous owner's dog and the California sun. The spring bases are shot on both, the pads are gone, and the leather (not MB-Tex) are a mess. The seat collapses under very little weight.
Looking at the sum of the parts to properly rebuild has me wondering what a complete seat might cost, and if you've found any such things for sale in the past... Cheers, -greg

Update: Coupe Seats
Hey there,
I have contracted Mercedes Works in LA to build me a matching set of seats for my '78 280ce. With my cores in return, it's $770.00/seat, matched to my rear seat upholstery and ready to install with rebuilt bases. After weighing my options, it would cost about that or possibly more to repair everything and reupholster myself. And, given I'm no expert with this type of thing, I'll have some perfect seats in the end. I'll update when I get them in a few weeks. Here's their website: http://www.mercedesautoworks.com Thanks!
