black steel 15" wheels?

I got a free set of snow tires for 15" wheels. I'm crazy and would like to drive my Benz daily in the snowy months here in boulder and into the mountains instead of my jeep (because I cut the top off it, long story) Does anyone know what cars I can scavenge wheels off of for snow tires or do I pretty much have to buy some new ones? 5 x 112 with 25mm offset.... any cars close to the same offset with the same bolts? I'd perfer to go junk yarding for this, but if I have to buy wheels...I'll just get two and run em on the back...I can pass on ice racing for a season.

There are usually lots of MB wheels on Ebay.

I don't think any US spec MB came with 15" steel wheels since the 600. Look for the flat look wheels off a late 126 or 107. If you find a set that needs refinishing, it could be a deal.

ok for comparison sake, the wheels on my jeep were 20 bucks a piece, I'm putting snow tires on these, I don't need alloy wheels. There aren't any junk yard doners or like steel spares that people ditch all the time?
-Nate

edit: think it might be better to give the tires to my roommate for his subaru and just look for another hook up? I've been wanting to put bigger tires on my MB for a while now anyway.

You can order 15" wheels new from the dealer. I believe they run around $125-150 apiece. Don't have the number exactly, but it is something like 126 400 02 01 or something like that....

Cheers,
Gerry

The problem is that the MB wheel bolt pattern, 5 x 112mm, is uncommon. IIRC it's only shared with the Audi 5000/100/200 and VW Vanagon. Those cars weren't available in the US with 15" steel wheels.

That's unreal, I mean just coming from the cars I've been dealing with the past 6 years, 15" wheels is like the base. Alright, well I got 4 pretty good studded tires now and nothing to do with them! I mean I don't even need steel, just something that's not 100 bucks, I was literally thinking like 15-20 bucks per wheel, but then like I said my wheels were 20 bucks a pop, relatively new and they're 15x10's

so are we talking pretty much any VW on 5 lug or audi? I could certainly scrounge a junk yard, or that's not a bad deal, get some tires too. Thanks for searching, I was searching MB wheels and not getting too much.
-Nate

wooops, nope, just saw some 5x100's for a VW beatle
