I just bought a new set of Michelin Arctic Alpins for my E420. (Thanks, Luke) Does anyone know an easy way to clean the protective coating off the sidewalls? I had a devil of a time cleaning it of my Pilots when I bought those earlier this year.

Thanks in advance.
Bob

Westleys Bleche White works wonders for removing the crud off the sidewalls. Just get a good scrubbing brush to use with it. Spary it on, let it sit a bit, then scrub it with a dampened scrubbing brush, and it should clean it nicely.

I have used bleche white religiously for the last 13 years. It works wonders on whitewall tires to get off the crud, and is also used for the black sidewalls of tires.

I agree that Westley's Bleche white is good. You also need a brush that has brass bristles. Plastic bristles just don't work. Brass bristle brushes are available in any auto store.
