Anybody using Sumitomo Srixon?

I'm considering going with Sumitomo Srixon4 tires to mount on the Ronal R-9 wheels I'm refinishing. I need a performance all-season tire and these seem to fit the bill in terms of size and price. They are also very similar to the Sumi HTR 200 that got a good rating from Green Seal as a low-rolling resistance tire (to help with mpg, don't you know). Anybody have experience, good or bad, with this tire? --

Any other recommendations appreciated. The wheels are 16x8 and 16x7, so I'm looking for something with 235 and 215 width or close to that.

While I'm not using the Srixon4's on my M-B, I do have 4 new ones on my 00 Saab 9-5, they are 215/55/16 I think. Maybe 60's, can't remember. They are great so far, much more pliable then the Michelin x greens or whatever was on it from the factory. Reasonably priced, good quality as far as I can tell.

Im running Sumitomo Srixon's on my 190E. I never had these type of tires before, but id say they are pretty good for the price.

Thanks for the feedback. Very helpful.

I'm also looking at the Kumho Ecsta HP4 716. It's actually rated higher than the Srixon in many areas. Any feedback on these...?

Just thought I'd followup to say that I ended up going with the Srixon4 in the 215/55 front and 235/55 rear sizes. And I must say the fitment ended up just about perfect. Here's a pic:

So far I'm pleased with the tires. A bit more road feel, but did not stiffen the ride much at all, and that's just what I wanted. Didn't want to compromise the silky stock ride characteristics, you know. But it does seem like the tires did improve overall handling nicely.

I have one set of Sumitomo HTR-ZIIs ...a good 3 season performance tire that's really inexpensive. Even does par for track duty. Does flat spot if sitting for a day but goes away in minutes/miles.

Sumitomo makes some really decent tires IMO.
