(most) benz OEM wheels have those small holes in between the bolt holes on the face of the wheel.
what are they for? |

they are used to hold the wheels at the factory during mounting.

The small holes on factory and AMG wheels are used to help secure the wheel alignment machine to the wheels. Saw this demonstrated last weekend at our local M-B dealer.

Most quality aftermarket wheels have those holes as well, not just OEM.
