RIM from Audi ?

Does anyone know if the rims from an 1987 Audi 5000CS Turbo Quattro
will fit on a 1987 260E? This rim has the 5x112 bolt pattern and width of 6J
I am looking for a cheap set to mount some winter tires.

As far as I know, even though the Audi boltpattern is the same, the centerbore of the wheel is different.

Audi Center Bore

Manny is correct. The Audi Centers are slightly larger diameter, so if installed (assuming offset is correct), the lug bolts would carry all of the stress. You may have a problem with lugs breaking or wheel centers cracking.

Audi center hubs are smaller than Mercedes so, the wheel will not even go on

I stand corrected

Thanks for clarifying Luke. I'm thinking of VW wheels...
