Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge?

Anyone using the Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge tire on their Mercedes?

I'm thinking about them for my 1998 C-230, will be changing off my Michelin MXV-4-Plus, my tread depth is no longer useable in the snow.

A quiet tire that balances well and I can use in the snow is my main priority.

Get two sets of tires - summer only tires, Like Goodyear Eagle F1, and winter only tires, like Blizzaks.

You'll be much happier with the performance in both seasons. Your current wheels are probably dinged up - use them for the winters.

Treat yourself to new summer tires and wheels, and fill up the wheel wells. Or go on eBay and find some used upgrade wheels, like AMGs.

waybomb, actually my wheels are in excellent shape - I'm totally into detailing my car and very careful where and how I park.

Two sets of wheels? I never really gave it much thought. I actually think my car may look best with the stock wheel, and summer performance tires with greater grip may actually take some of the fun away from tossing a 148hp car around the burbs. Dedicated winter tires would be nice, but in the mid-atlantic region snow is seldom and tire wear would be great.

But it may not actually be a bad idea - will give it some thought, THANKS
