ebc redstuff brake dust/ dayton wires

i desperatley want to put some 17" dayton wires on the 300e after a new paint job this summer. just did some brake work, all new ebc redstuff pads (allegedly semi ceramic)

so i cleaned the original wheels to 85% (wheels are crazy design to clean inside of brake dust) to measure dusting

EBC redstuff= still pretty grimy after 2 weeks! if i brush my finger on wheels i get good amount of black dust ( i thought ceramic dust was browner?)

love the grip! stops on a dime, pulls car to stop so fast its unbelievable but still too dirty for wire wheels.

what brake pads are you using if you have wire wheels?

thx!

The hawks don't dust much.

Personally I would never go with 17s on a 300e. The ultra low profile tires make the car ride rough and if you hit a big chuckhole you will ruin a tire and your fancy wheel.

Just my opinion.

are hawks available for 300e? stock setup (girling calipers)? are they pretty price comprable to ebc ($150 all 4 corners?)
i couldnt find them online when i got ebc ones.

redstuff also make a ultra cool 'spool down turbine' sound if you stop fast .
allegedly less dusty than green ebc ones and i wanted low-no dust setup so disappointed in them so far for dustyness

redstuff pads did squeak w new rotors (alot and notably) for over 1,000 miles but now, pretty quiet

dayton makes 16s but, then i have a fat tire hmmmmm i want it to look very very pimp

as an update, with 1500 miles on EBC redstuff pads,

1 they occasionaly are noisy

2 they are NOT dust free or even close

pretty stellar stopping power tho
