Brabus 18 x 8.5 ET35 for my W124 Coupe
New to this forum so a Big Hello to everyone!
I've got the above set for my 1995 E320 coupe, I would love to put them on, but have had all different advice about they may be too big. Basically I WANT to put them on and would like to know if anyone has any similar ones and if so whats the best size tyres and is any modification required. I dont drive the vehicle alot, its more of a weekend car so not majorly fussed about the ride quality dropping. I would really appreciate some help on this, thanks in advance And if anyone can recommend a good lowering set up. Thanks again |

I have the exact same wheel size & on my 95 w124 Cab at the moment, I have 225/40/18 all around but ideal would be 255/35/18 in the rear and run a staggered tire set up.
I recently raised my car, as it went from cruiser to a street abuser. But I have eibach on the front, with bilstein yellow sports, factory springs at rear with bilstein heavy duty. The ride quality is just as good as with the 225/45/17 17x7.5 AMG wheels the car left the factory with in 1995. Also have AMG sway bars & end links from a E36 Cabriolet, Basically stolen from my 96 w124 cab.... I have run 19x9.5 rears before on 255/35/19 AMG wheels on 46mm offset fit perfectly and rode very well

I ran a 1995 E320 coupe fitted with 16x8" ET 34 + 225 section tyres.
Rears were fine, fronts were too wide, rubbed in certain situations (combination of turn + bump) and more importantly looked too wide. Be careful if you don't want the expense of rolling lips or fitting E500 front bodywork ! |
