Chrome Bundts from Adsitco?
I know all about Adsitco as a company and can get around the typical problems most people have with them. I am curious if anyone has ever used the chrome bundts they sell? They run about $600 a set but was curious about the quality. This is for my W116 that spends the snow season in the garage.
I guess I'm most curious about the quality of the chrome. Is it going to start flaking before it's time? |

I can't say anything about the quality of Adsitco, but winter is the biggest killer of chrome wheels, period. So the fact that it's staying in the garage is a big plus. Maybe others can comment on the chrome plating quality.

Don't know about Adsit, but Benz doesn't recommend chroming any alloy wheels.
I bought a used set of original bundts and had them polished and then clear powder coated. It has lasted going on 10 years and I personally think they look better than chrome. |

I've seen a few sets in the flesh, they look quite nice actually. But chrome on bundts i think is too much, polished finish is much much nicer.
My brother is second in charge at a tyre shop and they have brought in a few sets of the Adsitco bundts.

Poor chrome jobs will cause the bead to leak after awhile but not always, that is why Benz does not recommend. Polished wheels are nice, but most people won't know the difference, except you, which is all that matters I guess. Polished wheels also require a lot of elbow grease to keep nice, but since it will be garaged mostly that may not be a concern.
