To all:

I have decided to replace my current Pilot XGT Z4's (225/55ZR16) with either Pilot HX (235/50WR16) or Pilot Sport (225/55YR16). What do you guys think?

I am leaning towards the Pilot HX because it is closer to spec size.

However, I like the Pilot Sport because it is the "ultimate performance" Michelin.

I am really stuck here. What should I do? What would you do?

I drive mainly around the city. I like to take turns hard. On the interstate, I cruise at 90-100 when permissible (traffic wise).

Thanks for any and all help.

I would think that the Pilot Sport in the Maximum Performance tire would perform just about the same if not a little less in comparison to the 235/50/16 Pilot HX MXM due to the taller Sidewall and Skinnier Width along with an extra .4" of height. I would choose the 235/50/16.

Go with the 235/50/16 Pilot HX's, they are truly an impressive tire. They will ride as well as the touring set and perform almost to the max performance standards. They do cost and wear like performance tires but at least you can rotate the HX MXM's easily. Not as easy with the directional Pilot Sports. Plus you have a more correct rolling radius which will help cosmetic appearance and suspension perform as they should.

Hope this helps...Lee
