Question 225/45/18 Front and 255/40/18 Rear?

Hi,
- Looking to use the above rubber on my '99 E320 4Matic Wagon, using 18x8 and 18x9 rims.
- I know the E55 uses 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 but don't think I want to go quite that aggressive. This would also give just a little additional rubber which on 18" rims never can hurt.
- Looking for inputs and recomendations
Thanks,
dbenz

Unless you have REALLY bad roads in your area, go wider. I have 18x8 and 18x9 as well and have 245/40/18 and 265/35/18 and I don't think it looks agressive at all IMO. Just got to be more aware of the road conditions so you don't drive through a bad pothole.

As they always say, Go Big or Go Home.

I Have a 2000 E320 Wagon with The E55 setup 8x8x9x18
With 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear with H/R springa and 1 bump spring pads with No Problems..Looks Great no rubs
One Piece of advise...Install a rear Camber kit to correct the Camber Otherwise the Wear on the rear tires will Be RAPID!
Ive Been through Two sets of rear Tires to Figure this out!
Kmac..Renntech sell them ..Also Find someone That Knows How to ALIGN a car ...Not just set the Toe!! Learned this Also..
Good Luck on Your Choice!
