Will the 17 inch wheels and tire combo found on the CLK 430 and SLK sport package 17 inch AMG with the 225/45 and 235/40 fit on the 190 class sedans. Has anyone tried this fitment? Thanks, Joe

Actually all of us 190E owners wish they would, but they don't. The widest I would go is 7.5" unless u want to push 8" and u have fenders rolled in both cases. I would recommend a soft 16" upgrade with affordable 215/50/16 tires since u got a good contact patch and tires r cheap to run through. If u want to get a little more aggressive you could either play with the suspension, or upgrade to 17" and play witht eh suspension. For 17", I would do 17x7.5 with 2225/40/17 (only Nitto has a tire in that size, and for the money they are all right, but i expect more from a tire) or 215/45/17 unless you might plan to lower your car in the future, then I would go with 215/40/17 (just to be safe.)

If you like the idea of 18" wheels and how they look, be prepared to do a lot of research. The most you can push is a set of 18x8" with a 31mm ET and fenders rolled and no more then 1.25" drop on suspension wearing 215/35/18. If you want the 225/35/18, you will have some rubbing (in very extreme hard, and i mean hard turns, depends on how well your fender's are rolled) if you have the suspension drop done, if youy don't, then there usually just enough clearance.
