New Tires Needed for my ML

Its about that time for tire replacement on my 2001 ml320. I placed a topic on the tire forum, but didnt really get any quick responses. Sorry for the repeat.
I like the overall performance of the stock General Tires, but i am lookin to try something new. My truck will be on road most of the time..with off roading being rare. Also wondering if i can fit a fatter tire than the 255 60 stock size. perhaps 265. If anyone can help me out. Thanks!!

Take care

I replaced mine with Michelin CrossTerrain, excellent tires, less road noise, more traction than the crappy Dunlop that came with the truck. Switching to fatter tire will reduce your fuel economy and fatter tire means you have to use lower profile tires (e.g. 55 or less). They tend to get really expensive with those tread width. The crossterrain in stock size 255 60 16 cost about $160 with balance and mounting included. Looks like you drive a lot in your truck. Why burn the unnecessary $$$.

Try Toyo

We just put Toyo A/T 255-65 - 16s on our 99 320

We tried Michelin and found a tread life of barely 25,000 miles.

The Toyo's were priced right and handle great. We pull a trailer and do some off road work.

I would recommend you consider them
