All Weather Tire for E55

I would like a recommendation here. Seems Pirelli 7000 is the only tire in the exact size. But I don't know if the exact stock size is required or even desirable. Any advice would be most welcome.

I would advise you to stay away from the P7000 (they are way too noisy) and get a dedicated winter tire to go with the dedicated summer tires you already have

The P7000 is a terrible tire for the E55. It was lousy on my C230, delivering POOR traction. That's on my 150hp four banger. On your beast, it will be nothing short of awful. Also, they have poor wet/snow traction. You'll regret buying those tires...

Thanks Black MB. Unfortunately there is no other AW tire for the E55.

I think Michelin has AW for 245/40/18 and 275/35/18. The E55 has 245/40/18 but 265/35/18. I don't know if this works.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my Acura. Best after market tires I've ever had. It's quiet, great in dry, rain and snow, and it even wears better than most. I should think you will be abe to get it for your car. It offers lots of sizes.

Check out the Nokian WR. The WR is an all weather tire and is the only 4 season tire to be snow certified. I plan to buy a set before the snow falls. Search on Nokian on this forum and you'll see how people love these tires! Also check out www.nokian.com.

Thanks DaveJ and Flash Gordon. Unfortunately the stock rear tires for the E55 is 265/35/18. Michelin makes a 275/35/18 All Season. I would apprecuate advice on whether it is OK to switch size. Nokian does not list the model.

I would suggest getting another pair of the 18x8 front wheels and mounting them on the rear. Then you could run 235/40-18's all around. I only suggest new wheels because I'm not sure if the stock rear wheels are too wide for that tire size.

This sounds very doable. You are only increasing width by 10mm and the height is the same. The difference in the circumfrence is very negligible, if any. Therefore, it should not affect the speedometer accuracy. Check it out with Tirerack.
