Rim offset help 560SEL

Vehicle: 1989 560SEL

I would like to mount 18" monoblock or monoblock "style" wheels to what has become the latest shop "Project" vehicle. What I need to know is which wheels will fit? How wide? What offset? What other vehicles can I take wheels directly from? I quite like the looks of a 560SEL with the 18" Monoblock Aero rims in satin (rather than chrome).

Has anyone had any experience with this set up? Would 16 or 17's be better? Would 18's be to rough or ding too easily? I would not have considered it were the rims on it now not sooooo ugly and had I not just seen a 560SEL on the street with 18" Monoblocks that really did look quite nice. I have also recently seen Monoblocks from newer Mercedes available reasonably, they look like the Aero but have a dished depression around the lugs??

Any help, sugestions or ridicule would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

You need 25mm offset for the 560SEL.

I can tell you that the R129 rims will not work on the 560...I already tried.
