15 x 37 ET 37mm & 215/65/15 Tires on a 380 SE?

The subject line says it all. I have a person selling these locally to me and I am first in line. Will OEM 15 x 37 ET 37mm & 215/65/15 Tires fit on a 1985 380 SE? If not will a 5mm Spacer fix it and if so any recommendations on where/who to buy from?

Sorry to keep asking "will it fit" questions but I cannot find a definitive list.

Thanks,

James

you would need atleast a 10mm spacer to make those work so, I would recommend that you keep looking until you find something that is a better fit for your car .... that is assuming you meant to type 15x7 ET37 ,,,,, because a 15x37 wheel would be WAY TOO WIDE for any car

10MM Spacer to big?

Yeah I just noticed the 37 width, that would be interesting it would look like some of the local rice machines.

On another question you stated that the 17 x 8 Wheel with a 35MM offset would work fine. The offset is only 2mm difference and the wheel is 1" smaller the difference in the offset is less than 1".

Just trying to make sense of this.

Lastly, spacers, a 10 MM spacer is pretty small to me. I am new in the Mercedes world but I have been in the four wheeling (mudding and climbing) for many years and have used 3/4" spacers on rigs with a lot more horsepower and being subjected to a lot more stress and torque than a regular street driven car.

I am talking about a qualilty spacer http://www.gilracing.com/MercedesSpacers/index.html not a round piece of metal with some holes in it that use extra long bolts or have just enough to length to barely grab the threads. The "linked" units are overpriced but are a good example of the type of spacers I am talking about.

I recognize this is only a good deal when I can find wheels that I like for an exceptional price otherwise I will order some from you.

thanks,

James

but comparing a 7" wide wheel to an 8" wide wheel doesn't yield the same center line location so, it would alter the crub radius too much which in turn leads to poor handling and faster tire wear

but was ride quality an issue on a rig like that ... I doubt it

that is a good quality spacer but, when going with 10mm the wheel would no longer be hubcentric and the spacer could not accomodate a hubcentric snout because its too thin
