Question Best fitting tires for a 400E?

Found a set of stock S500 rims that I was hoping I could fit on my 400E. The rims are 16" 7.5 ET51. The stock tires are 260/35, obbiously they wont fit, so I'm in the market for someting that will fit and will not rub against the fenders. I'm not sure where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Will 225/45 16, work? Was looking at my friends 500E, and I noticed he has 245/45 R16, but I think the width is 8 instead of 7.5. I do like they way it looks. I currently have 17" 8 lorinser D93 rims, but they are to wide and I'm getting some fender rubbing, thats why I'm going smaller.

From all I've read...

215 is the max width that we can run on 400E / E420. Anything wider tends to rub on the fenders during bumps.
