Thanks Roman and pawoSD....thats what I was looking for was the Ohm resistance reading of 0.3 ohm.
I probably won't have a cold weather start problem with the 606. The electronically metered pump and injection system on it is light years ahead of the first 84 300SD I had......spent a few cold winter mornings, years ago, tryng to get that thing started.. But I'd rather be sure than sorry on this 98.
