Slight rubmling over small bumps in '97 S500

At 40mph I notice a clunking or more of a rumbling from what seems like the RF. This only happens when traveling over a small bump or manhole cover. A deviation of about a 1/2'' is all it takes. The other symptom is a slight wandering on the freeway- nothing too dramatic but annoying none the less. Could this be an upper control arm bushing going bad? I had the car to my mechanic and he replaced the idler arm bushings to no avail. The test drive that he does doesn't seem to replicate the conditions accurately so he says nothing's wrong. Something IS wrong. Car has 106K on the clock, new front shocks, tires, and rear accumulators. Ball joints look fine as does the rubber boots covering the UCA's bushings. Any thoughts?
