Personally, I don't think it much matters which oil you use, synthetic or conventional. Simply use the oil of your choice and an OEM filter. Follow the advice of "Oil Guru" Larry Bible-"Change it hot and change it often"-and your car will be getting the TLC it needs and deserves.
