do youguys remember how Geraldo first gained national exposure?

It was by doing an piece on the abuses in a mental hospital in NJ called Willowbrook.

Man that was something. Elderly folks tied up in their own waste, living in basements with no light.

If I 'm not mistaken, he posed as an orderly and took all the pics while undercover.

This was in th eearly 70's I guess. They showed a replay of the piece in the early 80's

i used to drive by it when I first got my license in 1983. The place was high up on a hill and looked like a castle, very majestic and beautiful building on beautifully manicured lawns.

Whoda thunk it.
