I've narrowed my fan problem to the switch on the dryer. When I connect a ground to the wire the fans come on with the AC.

Would I do any damage if I connect a ground to the wires or bridge the two together until I can fix it right. I know the fans would be on all the time with the AC, but this would be better than overheating in heavy traffic.

Any help is appreciated.
